Palatine Pack Expands to Plainfield and the North Shore

For the past four years, the 501(c)(3) non-profit Palatine Pack Community TFCC has functioned as a single club, Palatine Pack TFCC. With this expansion, we are rebranding our non-profit as The Pack TFCC. Palatine Pack TFCC will now be the founding club of an affiliated league of Chicago-land cross country/track and field clubs.

Plainfield Pack TFCC and North Shore Pack TFCC are the first two affiliated clubs of the new venture. All information and registrations related to camps and competitions will now be communicated through the new web site at ThePackTFCC.com.

This new league of clubs will advance the mission statement of the Palatine Pack TFCC non-profit via the creation of cross country/track and field communities. These affiliated clubs will provide affordable opportunities for training and competition for youth, middle school, and high school athletes.

The Pack TFCC is the overall league and operates like a pro sports league or a high school conference. Affiliated clubs will work, commune, and compete with each other across the calendar year.

Revised Mission Statement

All affiliated clubs will align to our revised mission statement:

The Pack TFCC offers affordable cross country/track and field training and competition for youth, middle school, and high school athletes. We welcome kids of all abilities in hopes of enhancing athlete well-being and fostering a love for cross country/track and field. Our goals are to build community, teach fundamentals, and have fun

Our training is tailored to the needs of the individual. We teach basic fitness activities and the fundamentals of cross country/track and field to our newest athletes while also providing elite training programs for more experienced athletes. All athletes will be challenged to get better each day while having fun through gameplay and teamwork.

Although many of our athletes achieve at elite levels, achievement is a consequence of our values rather than the goal. Health, safety, well-being, friendship, community, and fun are viewed as more important than achievement.

Communites of Collaboration

The Pack TFCC builds cross country/track and field communities that span across schools and beyond town borders. Our affiliated clubs collaborate with local high schools, middle schools, and park districts to serve our athletes. To create collaborative trust, we adhere to the following norms:

  • Never coach athletes beyond the boundaries of our published camps. Camp sessions will never conflict with middle school and high school seasons.

  • Allow registrants to attend camp sessions and competitions as they please. No attendance is taken nor is attendance required.

  • Avoid talking negatively about area coaches or programs

  • Avoid steering athletes to middle schools or high schools

Taken together, these norms establish the trust necessary for effective collaboration.

A Competitive league for Cross Country/Track and Field

In partnership with Palatine Pack Timing, The Pack TFCC will provide affordable competition opportunities throughout the calendar year for youth, middle school, and high school athletes. All affiliated clubs will host local events, and all participants experience a full schedule of competitions. These events will include athletes from each home club, from affiliated The Pack TFCC clubs, from independent clubs, and from unattached athletes. The objective is to create an inter-connected network of local and affordable meets throughout the Chicago-land area.

The affiliated clubs within The Pack TFCC will also participate in club-only competitions in both cross country/track and field. The fostering of rivalries, competitive history, and community connection within The Pack TFCC is also a primary objective.

Our preliminary schedule of EVENTS for 2025 is available now. Dates will be added in both Plainfield and the North Shore as rentals are secured.
